Meet Our Director

On behalf of the dedicated team at the Office of Student, Family, and Community Engagement, we warmly welcome you to our website. When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer and like school more.

This site serves as a hub for families and community members who are interested in volunteering in our schools and offices. It also provides valuable resources to support student excellence, personal growth, and opportunities for involvement in school site and central office parent committees.

For school personnel, we offer engagement content and job aids to assist families in navigating learning resources, the Parent Portal, Family Academy, and offerings from our partners, including the City of Los Angeles Public Library and METRO GoPass. In addition, we offer resources to support schools in strengthening partnerships with families.

Our office firmly believes that when families and school leadership collaborate to build strong partnerships, students are empowered to thrive and be ready for the world. If you wish to contact us directly, please call 213-481-3350 or email us.
