The Office of Student, Family and Community Engagement will be relocating to our renovated building on 1360 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90026, through the next week. We will continue our programming at this location starting on Thursday, February 27. In the meantime, email us at [email protected].

Membership Training Sessions in October Flyers

ELAC & SSC Membership Training During the Month of October

You are invited to join us to deepen your understanding of your role as a council or committee leader. Secondary students, families, and community members will benefit from both virtual and in-person sessions, which offer hands-on training on the topics below. Virtual sessions will provide an overview of members' roles, while in-person sessions will allow for collaboration and a focused review of responsibilities. Members are encouraged to attend sessions in their Region but may join any session. Please register today.

Meet Our Director

On behalf of the dedicated team at the Office of Student, Family, and Community Engagement, we warmly welcome you to our website. When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer and like school more.

This site serves as a hub for families and community members who are interested in volunteering in our schools and offices. It also provides valuable resources to support student excellence, personal growth, and opportunities for involvement in school site and central office parent committees.

For school personnel, we offer engagement content and job aids to assist families in navigating learning resources, the Parent Portal, Family Academy, and offerings from our partners, including the City of Los Angeles Public Library and METRO GoPass. In addition, we offer resources to support schools in strengthening partnerships with families.
