School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee
What are the unique functions of the SSC compared to the ELAC?
- The School Site Council is a decision making body representative of students (secondary level), parents and legal guardians, school staff, certificated personnel, and school administration. They are assigned the responsibility of developing and approving the School Plan for Student Achievement, School Site Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy and the Compact.
- The English Learner Advisory Committee is an advisory body assigned the responsibilities of learning about English Learner data, programs and services, as well as developing comments which are presented to the School Site Council.
